Story
On the Ramirez-Navarro family estate, the love of the land is passed down from generation to generation. The father of the family, Mr. Alexis Ramirez, dedicated his entire life to agriculture and dreamed of one day growing coffee according to his own rules – with the utmost respect for nature and people.
In 2015, they took the decisive step of building their own micro-processing station, “Los Campos”, where they can process their own coffees. This gave them full control over the quality and traceability of their micro-lots and fulfilled a long-standing dream of collaborating through direct sales. This was a milestone that brought the family even closer together and opened the door to the world of specialty coffee.
The estate primarily grows the Caturra-Catuai variety, but the family is always looking ahead. Today, they also plant innovative F-1 hybrid varieties and the unique Esperanza variety, which comes from a partnership with Gaia Artisan Coffee. This means that their future coffees will be even more full of diverse aromas and genetic innovation.
What makes their coffees special is also in their processing. They ferment many lots using aerobic and anaerobic techniques, which is why their coffees are known for their complexity, sweetness, and fruity vibrancy.
Every cup from the Ramirez-Navarro estate carries a story of courage, family dreams, and the love of coffee.
